Pantry Operations

Pantry Shopping Eligibility

Only Parkland School District residents are eligible to receive food during drive thru food distributions. One adult person per household/address will receive food at each distribution. A maximum of 2 households per vehicle will be served. You must present a valid PA drivers license or PA resident card and proof of residency. Paperwork must be filed in order to have someone else pick up food for you.

Drive Thru Operations

Distributions are held once per month. Please continue to monitor the home page of our website and our social media pages for updates. All Drive Thru Food Distributions take place at Springhouse Middle School, 1200 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM on the first Saturday of each month. All dates and times are subject to change.

The parking lot opens at 8:30 AM. You will NOT BE PERMITTED to enter the parking lot until 8:30 AM. If you arrive prior to 8:30 AM, you will be asked to leave. All cars must enter the parking lot and follow instructions on where to proceed. We ask that each family drives carefully and is aware of people and cars around them.

Families must stay in their cars at all times. Do not exit your vehicle for any reason.

When you arrive, you will be asked to open your trunk so that volunteers can put bags directly inside. Please make space available in your trunk for the bags BEFORE you arrive.

We will be distributing food based upon availability as supplies last.

NO SMOKING is permitted on the property.

There are NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS.

Snack Pack Program

Our Snack Pack program serves Parkland students a bag full of food, specifically packed for a weekend. This program is coordinated through Parkland School District Guidance Counselors. If your family would like to partake in the program, please contact the guidance counselor at your child’s school.

Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley

Meals on Wheels provides homebound senior citizens and adults with disabilities with home-delivered meals, grocery shopping and other services. If you are in need of additional food resources or food delivery, visit the Meals on Wheels website for more information

PA SNAP (Food Stamps) Program

If you need help with long-term food assistance through the PA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps, please call the hotline at 484-821-2406 or visit the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services SNAP website for more information or to apply.

PA WIC Program

If you are a pregnant woman, mother, or caregiver of infants and young children, you may be eligible for the PA WIC program. Visit the Pennsylvania Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) website for more information or to apply.

Parkland School District

If you have a Parkland student who needs food assistance, please contact the district with your particular circumstance and the Parkland School District Food Outreach Team will respond. Please be sure to include your student’s name.
